Tasting Note
The result is a fresh, crisp Chardonnay - aromas of lemon/lime and whiffs of buttered toast. The oak adds another dimension to the wine, rather than masking the fruit flavours.

Enjoy this wine now. Great on its own or with food such as sushi, other seafood or light meat dishes.

Grape Varietals
100% Chardonnay

Youthful, clean, fresh nose with nectarine and grapefruit. Light and elegant in the mouth with stone fruit flavours and some vanilla. Fresh, fruity, lively finish. Delightful, versatile wine. Enjoy in its relative youth as an aperitif or with light flavoured food.

Winemaking note
A straight (100%) chardonnay, made from grapes sourced just outside of the town of Wellington. Once crushed and pressed, the juice was transferred to small French oak barrels, where it underwent both alcoholic and malo-lactic fermentation (the latter to enhance the flavour and complexity of the wine), for four months. During its time in the barrels, the wine was also matured on the lees for four months.
