Beautiful on both nose and palate with hints of mint and violets, ripe raspberries, red cherry and black-currant. Subtle oak, with intriguing complexity. This wine has a textured mid-palate outlining finely grained tannins, framing concentrated fruit flavours. This is an honest expression of an individual grape made into a delightful wine. Johnnie Calitz (winemaker) Wine pairs well with oxtail croquette, venison and ostrich and pasta dishes.

This wine has a great structure well supported by the oak. Ripe blackberry and cherry aromas follow through onto the smooth palate framing the mint and dark chocolate flavours. I particularly enjoy working with Cabernet Sauvignon and this is a reflection of a reputable and identifiable Simonsberg Cabernet.

This wine displays integrated cassis and blackberry fruits with hints of cinnamon and spice on the nose. It exhibits ripe and concentrated briary fruit with cherry and chocolate flavours on the palate. It has a long finish, balanced by fine tannins, a rich texture and subtle acidity. Enjoy with beef sirloin, oxtail and smoked bone marrow croquette, celeriac puree, poached pear, celeriac and hazelnut dressing.

The nose shows layers of ripe blackcurrants, red berries, mulberries and hints of cedar and walnuts. A balanced wine, with a flavourful palate rounded out by subtle oak spice and firm tannins. Best enjoyed with prime rib on the bone or a slow cooked lamb dish.

There are tantalising and distinctive fruit notes of citrus, green apple and peach stone fruit. Butterscotch and lime notes on the mid-palate follow through to an extended aftertaste of citrus marmalade with a delicate almond finish.

Serve at 9-12 Deg.

Best enjoyed with food such as langoustine, scallops, any other seafood or poultry dishes.

Drinking beautifully now, this Chardonnay has the balance, concentration and refined oak integration to evolve gracefully over the next 5-8 years, rewarding patient cellaring with added complexity and texture.

The wine has a subtle red violet hue that is bright and clean. The nose has earthy tones with mild black cherry aromas combined with hints of the palate, our Pinot Noir has a smooth silky texture, followed by mild tannins that deliver structure and complexity. This is a generously fruit-driven wine with a great balance of harmony of acid and fruit. It’s very enjoyable on its own, but is also tremendously food-friendly .

Seared Tuna, Crispy pork belly or a crispy duck salad.

An extended and elegant aftertaste is supported by crisp acid and finely grained tannins. This Chardonnay pairs well with salmon and trout, goats cheese souffle or cauliflower centred dishes.
