A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot, it was matured for 12 months in barrel, 40% new before a further 12 months in barrel, 70% new. Alc: 14.5%.

The nose shows plum, cassis, violets, incense, pencil shavings and a faint trace of crushed leaf, though green character is all but absent. The wine is monumental in scale yet defined by clarity rather than weight. Fruit concentration is matched by vivid acidity, while the tannins are firm and architectural, pointing clearly to a long future ahead. It combines succulence with structure at the highest level and sets a new benchmark for Cape Bordeaux blends.

The Glass Collection Chardonnay has a bright and brilliant colour with a slight green hue. The wine has complex aromas of citrus, lime zest, marmalade and melon. On the palate there is a beautiful round comforting texture with wonderful length and intense fruit complexity and a mineral oyster shell finish.

Pair with pan seared salmon with fresh lemon or a creamy seafood pasta.

This wine can be enjoyed now through to 2027.

The Estate Reserve Chardonnay has a pure, bright and fresh straw colour. The nose has tones of butterscotch, vanilla and apple pie with hints of pear drop. The palate is lush with poise and balance. A wine that is already drinking well now, but will also benefit by further ageing.

The wine is all about elegance with underlying power. Bold aromatics of blackberries, cranberry and blackcurrant are followed by hints of savoury, spicy plum with touches of cedar and floral tones. The palate entry has good richness with fine tannin supported by the ripe fresh fruit and hints of spice.

Very balanced oak integration with a fresh long finish.

This wine will pair well with game meats like venison or duck complement its bold flavours, as well as rich pasta dishes with a hearty meat sauce.

The Glass Collection Merlot has a dark rudy red colour. It displays dark fruit, cherry and chocolate with hints of spicy plums. This merlot shows tremendous concentration, richness and generous fruit on the palate with fine but well structured and balanced tannins to embrace it all.

Serve at 12-15 Deg.

This wine is an excellent match for grilled or roast beef, lamb casseroles with mushrooms and garlic, or a juicy steak.

It will show optimal maturity and complexity between 2026 and 2030.
