The nose shows violets, a subtle herbal note, cherry, plum, cassis, vanilla and spice. The palate is balanced and understated, with juicy fruit, good freshness, a smooth texture and fine tannins. Not massively assertive, but still in the polished house style.

Blend : Cabernet Sauvignon (56%), Merlot (24%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Malbec (10%).

A compelling expression of Series C with a quiet reflection of the time and place. It presents a deep, dark-red core to garnet edge. The aromatics are captivating, leading with an exotic blend of jasmine and oud perfume, interwoven with layers of blue and black fruits. On the palate, this wine is broad and dense, yet exhibits an understated elegance. It moves gracefully, with a svelte texture that coats the mouth.

While the Series C is remarkably complete in its youth, this blend will reward those who exercise patience as it continues to evolve and develop complexity.

Vilafonte Seriously Old Dirt

This Cabernet Sauvignon lead blend initially greets with a vibrant expression of fruit. Unfolding with fresh plum, black raspberry, mulberry and ripe strawberry. These fruits are beautifully intertwined with subtle spicey notes of shaved nutmeg and dried sage. Palate entry is smooth, luxuriously coating with a silky texture from the fore-palate, broadening on the mid-palate and finishing with layered richness. A line of fresh acidity adds energy to this medium bodied wine.

Soft, silky tannins are well integrated, allowing immediate enjoyment, while balanced structure will allow gracious cellaring.

Serve at 12-15 Deg.

Perfect with grilled or roasted meats like ribeye steak or lamb, enhancing the wine’s fruitiness.
