The rich yellow-gold appearance suggests ripeness of style. Aromas of apricots, dried pears and marzipan are complemented by plush oak characters of vanilla pod and subtle toasty notes. The richly textured palate is lifted by limey acidity to reveal flavours of Cape gooseberries and sun-ripened Granny Smith apples. Creamy lees character completes the picture, providing the wine with a long, flavoursome finish.

Vriesenhof Jan Boland Coetzee 2021

The Jan Boland Coetzee pays homage to the founder of Vriesenhof and embodies a lifetime of his observation and wisdom accumulated amongst the vines.

The components are vinified separately, and the blend is assembled after 4 months. Merlot (43%), Cabernet Sauvignon (37%) and Cabernet Franc (20%) all from Stellenbosch, matured in French oak barrels for 20 months. A combination of 1st/2nd /3rd and 4th fill barrels were used.

Delightful intense ruby colour. Aromas of ripe plum, red currants and subtle wood spice and finely textured, smooth tannins.

Vriesenhof Limited Release Red Blend 2024

Blend : Cabernet Sauvignon (60 %), Merlot (25 %), Cabernet Franc (15 %)

Bright, fruity aromas of cherries and ripe plums with hints of vanilla, strawberries and confectionary. The palate has firm tannins provide structure to the medium bodied palate, fresh acidity provides length and character.

Serve at 16-18 Deg.

Cabernet-Merlot’s dark fruit, oak, and spice flavours complement the hearty flavour of steak and roasted meats.
