The wine is very fruit forward and lively with pronounced aromas of red fruits, followed by flavours of strawberry, raspberry and morello cherry. Light notes of white pepper are also present. On the palate it is crisp and full of red fruits. It is both easy drinking yet structured and serious enough to enjoy with food.

Serve at 12-15 Deg.

Perfect with stew or beef bourguignon.

A delicate, elegant Cinsault best enjoyed young for its bright red fruit and floral freshness, with the potential to develop soft, savoury complexity over 3–5 years.

Miles Mossop Chapter One Cinsault 2022

A bottling of a single vineyard site of Cinsault grown on decomposed granite soils in the Swartland. This wine expresses the purity of Cinsault fruit with fine grained tannins on the finish.
This wine has a vibrant cherry red colour. The nose is perfumed with beautiful rose petal, strawberry and cherry aromas. There are underlying notes of dried herbs. Flavours of fresh strawberries, ripe cherries and rose water are evident on the palate. The mid-palate is textured with hints of dried herbs leading to a dry finish with fine tannins.

Delicious on its own, served slightly chilled or will pair beautifully with charcuterie.

Serve at 14-16 Deg.

Drinking very well on release and will reward cellaring for up to about 6 years.

Wildeberg Terroirs Cinsault 2024

Our first Cinsault release from old bush vines in Wellington, grown on well-drained granite- and quartz-strewn loams beneath the Hawekwa mountains.

An ethereal nose of star anise, cherry-stone, wild strawberries and crushed rocks leads to a bright yet fine palate of dark cherries, allspice and gently earthy notes and with the focused finish our mineral-laden source gives the wine.

Serve slightly chilled at 14-16 Deg.

Excellent with hoisin duck, Karoo lamb, seared tuna with Mediterranean vegetables.

Drinking beautifully now, but will develop added savoury depth and complexity over 5–8 years.

Darling Cellars Old Bush Vine Cinsaut

An irresistible, well balanced red wine, with a bright ruby red colour and sour cherries, red cherries and candy floss on the nose. The fruity palate is delicious with earthiness and flavours of white pepper followed by a fresh acidity on the pallet. Grape tannins very well supported by the oak tannins. The wine finishes with a long aftertaste. This wine will go very well with roasted leg of lamb, Moroccan lamb, well-made Curry stews or Escargot. Suitable for Vegans.

Stellenbosch Reserve Cinsault

Red fruit and spice make an appealing combination on the nose. Aromas of pomegranate juice, spicy cherry compote and raspberry are prominent. The juicy red fruit carries through on the palate with flavours of red current and cranberry supported by a lively acidity, and notes of pancake spice. The complexity of flavours bring a weightiness to an otherwise light, fresh and easy drinking wine.

Waterkloof Seriously Cool Cinsault 2023

Our Cinsault is known as COOL because we recommend that you enjoy it at a lower temperature (around 14°C) and because it stems from the cooler slopes. We also describe it as SERIOUS because it ensures a well-structured, memorable length in the mouth.

The old bush vines gave rise to a soft, vibrant and lively wine. It is playful in its aromas with loads of red berries, pronounced florals and perfume notes. In the mouth, the prominent fruit aromatics are complemented by soft tannins, fresh acidity that develop effortlessly.

This wine can be enjoyed on its own, but also pairs well with a variety of dishes, especially duck or a pork-belly inspired dish.
