Bruyere Family Wines is a boutique South African label founded by two brothers in tribute to their late mother. Sourcing grapes from Elgin and Swartland, they focus on minimal-intervention winemaking to showcase the regions’ terroirs.

The nose shows lime, grapefruit, green apple and spice while the palate is substantial but equally poised – there’s a wonderful interplay between fruit weight and punchy acidity while the finish is long and dry.

Serve at 9-12 Deg.

A wine to be enjoy now and can be cellared for another 3 years.

Pair with Thai or Vietnamese dishes or roast chicken with lemon & thyme.

Distinctly classy, but full of attitude. Our Riesling 2018 is flavour packed with restrained orange blossom, lovely star jasmine as well as surprising spicy clove and nutmeg.

The fruity elements of Turkish apricot and spanspek could coax you into ordering lentil curry or making Bernhard’s famous all-day roast pork belly with sweet potato mash.

Brilliant with green hues and golden specks. Green apples, guavas and nectarines with a floral background. Fresh and crisp on the palate with nuances of green apple, guavas and nectarines.

Excellent as an everyday drinking wine. A wine for any occasion, especially in South Africa’s warmer climate. Served with salads, fish, poultry, and pasta dishes as well as soft cheeses.

The colour is pale, with a beautiful green apple tint. The nose shows ripe green apple, apple blossom, beeswax and fynbos honey notes. The palate is crisp and clean – lemon sorbet-like.There is a great interplay between the naturally retained residual sugar and the acidity.Generally regarded as restrained,it displays typical Riesling ‘nervousness’. The mineral core,wich is linked to the shale rich soils in which the vines grow,astounds. It is the reason for the wine structure and the lingering after taste.Perfect hot weather wine – very refreshing.

Gorgonzola and roasted sweet potato salad with honey dressing. Pan fried prawns with paprika, toasted sesame and yoghurt dressing. Roast pork chops with pomegranate and coriander salsa
