The Pinotage is 100% Pinotage from old Bushvines on koffieklip soils .

The grapes are harvested quite ripe, handpicked and no sorting

Theres a little bit of wholebunch and the rest all destemmed. It spends a week maximum on the skins where it is pressed and aged in old 600 l oak barrels.

The wine is very vibrant on the nose, has great primary aromatics of cherries, plums and Fynbos.aswell as some very subtle tabacco notes. Great structure on the pallet with rustic well integrated tannins

Tembela Syrah 2024

Fantastic, ethereal perfume this vintage of black pepper, fynbos, and violet against a core of black and red fruits. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with freshness and minerality, backed by fine tannins. Partial stem inclusion during fermentation leads to an herbal, peppery finish.

“More and more I find myself intrigued by this grape varietal, the wine’s ability to age, and how it benefits from time in the bottle. All the fine characteristics will be defined with age. It can be enjoyed young or be loved for a more rich and creamy palate as it ages. Looking at the 2020 vintage now just prior to release it shows what is typical of the grape and worlds’ benchmark Semillons’; shy at youth (nervous we call it) but patience will be rewarded as bottle maturation will add bouquet, depth and complexity in years to come.” – Johann Fourie

Off the Record Chenin Blanc 2023

The wine has an attractive pale straw colour. The nose leads with appealing citrus notes, which unfold onto the palate with a rich, creamy mouthfeel. The broad spectrum of citrus, underlying minerality and gentle wooding have contributed to the complexity of this Chenin Blanc and culminate in a long lingering finish.

If there is one wine in our range that shows our close proximity to the cold Atlantic Ocean, it is PIERRE with its profound minerality that adds flesh to the high-altitude Sauvignon Blanc’s nervy acidity and fine tannin structure derived from skin contact fermentation and lees maturation. An exotic bouquet of star jasmine florae, lime zest and lemongrass linger until a convincing swirl releases white peaches and litchis.
