“ Its not often – if ever – I am compelled to write to the MD of any company about outstanding customer service but in the case of GET WINE / Van Riebeeck I felt I wanted you to know about an incredible member of staff – and one that is a shining example of how to treat customers. I became a GET WINE customer on the 27th February – as I could not get the website to accept me I was helped on the phone by another great person – sadly I cannot remember his name . It all went pear shaped ( or grape shaped) when I entered your bank account details and put in an 8 where there should have been a 6. Realising my mistake I called my bank who were dismissive and told me I would have to fill in 2 million forms, pay them R200 and no guarantee I would ever get money back. Then I phoned your company and was put onto Joshua Rossouw in accounts – not even a frontline person. Wow! he listened – he sympathised – he then told me he would make a plan – and copied me in every mail and conversation he had with the bank . When they didn’t come back to him, he reminded them. I heard from him everyday and he called me too and sent me SMS’s to make sure I knew and to keep my spirits up. ( as I felt very sad having lost R900 and with no wine either !) Then he mailed me late Friday afternoon with the good news it would be reversed. Its such an inspiring email thread written by someone who is obviously genuinely interested is sorting out problems and people who email sometimes in capital letters ( me ) and he never wavered and I think he deserves a pat on the back. And my wine arrived at noon today . In conclusion – I made a silly mistake but the way it was all handled was just amazing and the two people I dealt with – well really the best and I just thought you should know. Kind regards Sarah.”
