This medium bodied wine has a pronounced bouquet of citrus blossom, lime and ripe pear which is followed by layers of white peach and hints of vanilla on the palate. The wine has great length and persistent minerality.

This, in combination with the fresh natural acidity, makes it an ideal complement to many different foods.

This well structured and balanced Chardonnay has great tropical fruit with hints of peach and poached pear on the nose. On the palate the wine delivers lifted varietal characters of melon, stone fruits and citrus which are enriched by the creamy palate. The finish envelopes refreshing acidity which is nicely integrated with great mouth feel. A clean and bright wine, with well structured oak influences due to barrel fermentation in new and aged French oak.

Steenberg Merlot 2015

A fresh and vibrant nose shows subtle aromas of sweet red fruits such as wild strawberries and cherries, intermingled with dried fynbos, thyme and fresh rosemary. On the palate, this Merlot displays notes of aniseed, dark chocolate and black olives. Furthermore, it exudes an earthiness and velvety texture that is supported by an elegant tannin structure and focused acidity. The balance between tannin and acidity will allow the wine to age comfortably for the next 10 – 15 years.

Life from Stone derives its name from the incredibly rocky soils in which it is grown. Every year the vineyard battles against nature in order to produce highly concentrated, powerful wines with a flinty, mineral character true to the quartz rock in which it is grown. Monumental human effort was required to plant the vines – implements destroyed, and, in the case of the older vineyards, dynamite deployed. A true expression of the site’s terroir, this wine will drink well now, or can be enjoyed in the next 2-3 years.

The mineral core,wich is linked to the shale rich soils in which the vines grow,astounds. Created as an ode to the bounty of the sea, Miss Lucy can turn the many other delights safe to grace our tables, into a celebration of the ocean. Only a salty breeze and a sunny day can improve what is already a perfect match. This unique blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Pinot Gris bursts with citrus pamplemousse flavours and an ample mouth feel, yet remarkably moderate in alcohol.

Tokara Cabernet Sauvignon

The wine has a brilliant dark plum colour, with a ruby red rim. The nose has aromas of dark cherries, cassis and ripe plums. There are high tone notes of fresh red berries, nettles and mint. There is an underlying smokiness on the nose. The palate has stunning flavours of dark cherries, cassis and a certain savoury saltiness to it. The wine has a lingering finish with clean silky tannins and a touch of oak sweetness.
