(Tim Atkin 91) Stellenbosch (13.5%) Showing more restraint and focus than the 2016 release, which is not a surprise given the very different growing seasons, this barrel-fermented Chardonnay is all made with the CY95 clone. Waxy and toasty with a drizzle of honey, subtle oak and refreshing underlying acidity.
