A vibrant and expressive wine that captures both the energy and purity of Chenin Blanc. Bright aromas of white pear, yellow apple and citrus blossom are layered with subtle notes of honeycomb, wet stone and fresh pineapple. The palate is textured yet refreshingly crisp, with a beautiful mineral thread carrying the fruit through to a clean, focused finish. Lively, elegant and effortlessly drinkable, this is a Chenin with both character and finesse.

Serve at 8-10 Deg.

Delicious in its youthful vibrancy now, yet capable of developing additional texture and complexity over the next 3-5 years.

Pair with Cape Malay pickled fish or crispy pork belly with apple slaw.

Pella Verlatenkloof Merlot 2022

A beautifully poised expression of cool-climate Merlot from the dramatic slopes of the Verlatenkloof valley. Aromas of black cherry, mulberry and wild plum unfold alongside hints of cedarwood, cocoa nib and dried fynbos. The palate is plush yet refined, with velvety tannins balanced by a vibrant freshness that carries through to a savoury, lingering finish. Elegant rather than overpowering, this is a Merlot with both charm and quiet sophistication.

Serve at 16-18 Deg.

Drinking beautifully now, but will continue to evolve gracefully over the next 6-9 years.

Pair with venison bobotie or a wood-fired aubergine dish with tahini and pomegranate.

Pella Oukliprant Malbec 2023

The name Pella means “place of gathering” which refers to the union of terroir and vines.

Hand-harvested, sorted and de-stemmed. Riddled with ancient stone artefacts, this Single Vineyard flourishes side by side with Acheulean tools, dating back over 40,000 – 100,000 years ago; that is where the name ‘Oukliprant’ is derived from, meaning ‘old stone ridge’.

Layers of black cherry, pomegranate and plum, enhanced by a soft, velvety texture, with gamey and cocoa undertones.

Pair with BBQ & smoked meats – its mocha notes shine against smoked brisket, pulled pork, or lamb—especially with charring/spice.

Serve at 16-18 Deg.

Enjoy now through to 2028.
