We’re thrilled to have you join the GETWINE Wine Club! To kick off your membership, we have some fantastic gifts lined up for you over the first four months:

Month 1: Enjoy 6 bottles of wine and 2 elegant wine glasses.
Month 2: Another 6 bottles of wine and 2 more wine glasses.
Month 3: 6 bottles of wine and your last 2 wine glasses.
Month 4: This month, you’ll receive 6 bottles of wine and an exclusive 1.5L bottle of red wine.

Delivery Details

We’ll make sure your monthly wine packs are on their way to you as soon as possible. Once we’ve processed your payment, your pack will be dispatched within the next 1-3 working days. Monthly payments will be charged every month on the day you signed up.

Here’s what you can expect for delivery times:

Main Centres in South Africa: Within 2 working days.
Cape Town: The following working day.
For those living in rural areas, please be aware that delivery might be on specific days of the week.

Frequently Asked Questions

ALL DUTIES, TAXES AND INSURANCE CHARGES ARE COVERED BY THE SHIPPING FEE. No extra costs. We have a 100% delivery rate, and all wines are packed in styrofoam with reinforced boxes. In case of any damage or breakage, your package will be resent immediately – no questions asked.

This is a door to door delivery service. Our courier company (Aspiring) will be in contact with you from the moment the wines depart our warehouse to when they are delivered at your door.

The shipping fee per bottle reduces significantly when you purchase 24 bottles and more. Shipping fees on wines going to the USA can reduce to as little as $20 per bottle when you order 36 bottles or more.

Does the wine price include shipping fees?

No, the wine price does not include shipping fees. Shipping is charged separately and is based on airfreight, ensuring fast and secure delivery to your location.

We show the final price including shipping, on the checkout screen.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Europe: Delivery within 5-7 working days from the shipping date. Delays may occur due to customs, and Aspiring (our courier company) will inform you accordingly.

USA: Delivery within 21 days from the shipping date. Customs delays are possible, and Aspiring (our courier company) will keep you updated.

UK: Delivery within 14 days from the shipping date. Any customs-related delays will be communicated by Aspiring (our courier company).

Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore: Delivery within 5-10 working days from the shipping date. If delays occur due to customs, Aspiring (our courier company) will notify you.

Will my wine order be protected from heat and potential damage during shipping?

Yes, your wine is packed securely to prevent damage. We use reinforced styrofoam boxes, and all shipments are insured. If extreme weather conditions arise, your order may be held until it is safe to ship, and you will be notified of any changes to the delivery schedule.

Why are South African wines more affordable than European and American wines?

South African wines offer excellent quality at a competitive price due to the weaker South African Rand (ZAR) compared to the Euro and USD. However, key winemaking materials such as barrels, corks, and bottles are imported from the EU, which affects overall costs. We strive to keep our pricing as competitive as possible.

Why is shipping expensive compared to the wine prices?

Our shipping costs cover airfreight, customs duties, and taxes for a door-to-door delivery service. This ensures you receive your wine quickly and conveniently. Additionally, ordering 24 bottles or more significantly reduces the per-bottle shipping cost. Unlike mass-imported wines shipped via container freight, our service allows you access to exclusive selections not available in your country.

Is it cheaper to order through Getwine compared to buying from a local wine store?

For premium South African wines, ordering in bulk (24 bottles or more) may be more cost-effective than purchasing the same wines from a retail store. Our wines are often priced lower than those at South African wineries.

Can I order wine as a gift for delivery to another address or for corporate gifting?

Yes! We offer worldwide delivery for gifts and corporate orders. Orders must be placed in cases of 6 bottles. Simply provide the recipient’s details, and we will handle the rest.

Can I order a mixed case with different wines?

Yes, you can customize your case with 6 different wines.

What is the largest order I can place?
