Louisvale’s signature wine, this ultra premium Chardonnay has been matured in the finest French oak available. The nose is intensely complex with elegant aromas of lemon blossom, pineapple and apricot, toast and spice notes. The palate is smooth and buttery with a lingering after taste.

Additional Info: Grapes are carefully hand picked from Louisvale’s top Chardonnay blocks early in the morning. They are placed in the cold room at 8 degrees overnight, before being processed in the cellar. Our Chardonnay vines are planted on Oakleaf soils. Warm days followed by cool nights with a breeze coming from the ocean allows slow and consistent ripening of our Chardonnay grapes. Grapes are destemmed, crushed, and then gently pressed in the cellar. The juice is allowed to settle overnight, after which is is racked into brand new, 225L French oak barrels where they undergo fermentation. After fermentation, the wine is left in the barrel for a further 8-10 months to allow for the oak flavours to fully integrate into the wine.
