Description
Lycaon comes from the scientific name for an African wild dog, Lycaon Pictus, and is derived from the Greek word Lycos for a wolf. The label illustration is from a page in an 18th century book on hunting in Southern Africa, a time when painted wolves were common throughout the region.
Bright ruby in colour, this is a spicy vivacious medium-bodied wine packed with red raspberry and sour cherry and white pepper. It is both thirst quenching and complex.
Serve at 14-16 Deg.
Pair with lamb kofta, roasted vegetables, tomato-based dishes.
This Grenache drinks well in youth but will improve over time, gaining additional complexity for at least five years from vintage.
