Limited to just 400 bottles, the Arendskloof Single Barrel range is handcrafted by two-time Diners Club International Winemaker of the Year Christiaan Groenewald from the finest grapes aged in French oak. Only the best barrel qualifies for this premium selection, offering aromas of blackberry, plum, spice, and subtle tobacco. Mediumfull to full-bodied on the palate, it features structured tannins, firm acidity, dark fruit flavours and hints of oakderived spice or chocolate, finishing rich, lingering and well balanced for an unfiltered wine.
Serve at 16-18 Deg.
Works beautifully with hearty and flavourful dishes such as frilled or roasted red meats – ribeye, lamb chops and brisket.
This 2021 can be enjoyed now if decanted, but should continue to develop positively over 3-7 years.
