Description
Arno Smith’s passion for winemaking began on his family farm in the Tankwa Karoo and was nurtured by mentor Lukas Wentzel of Groote Post. After studying Viticulture at Elsenburg, he refined his craft in the U.S. and Australia. He later became winemaker at Hillcrest Estate in Durbanville and in 2021, Arno launched his own label, Arno Smith Wine Company.
Harvested from a single block of 1,000 Semillon vines, this wine undergoes wild fermentation with no added yeast, allowing pure grape expression. It features pronounced citrus and floral notes, a and a rich, textured mouthfeel. Beautifully balanced.
Serve at 12-15 Deg.
Pair with Indian curries, delectable sushi, clams or white meat and fish with an Asian dressing.
This wine offers an ageing potential of 5 years and more.
