Description
The nose reveals mulberry, dark plum and blackberry, layered with intense notes of liquorice and violets. The palate opens savoury and earthy, with the dark berry fruit carrying through alongside nuances of black cardamom, sweet tobacco and clove. Full-bodied yet elegant, the mid-palate is framed by fine, grainy tannins and beautifully integrated acidity, creating excellent balance. Classic complexity emerges through flavours of cured meat, white pepper and black olive, while subtle hints of tar, aniseed and espresso linger on a long, silky finish.
Serve at 16-18 Deg.
Pair with lamb shawarma or beef short ribs with soy, star anise, or hoisin.
This wine has excellent ageing potential. It’s generally recommended to start enjoying from around 2025-2028 and it can continue to develop well into the early to mid-2030’s.
