A beautifully poised expression of cool-climate Merlot from the dramatic slopes of the Verlatenkloof valley. Aromas of black cherry, mulberry and wild plum unfold alongside hints of cedarwood, cocoa nib and dried fynbos. The palate is plush yet refined, with velvety tannins balanced by a vibrant freshness that carries through to a savoury, lingering finish. Elegant rather than overpowering, this is a Merlot with both charm and quiet sophistication.
Serve at 16-18 Deg.
Drinking beautifully now, but will continue to evolve gracefully over the next 6-9 years.
Pair with venison bobotie or a wood-fired aubergine dish with tahini and pomegranate.
