Description
A classic Constantia blend of the five archetypal Bordeaux varieties – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot.
A perfumed nose of dark fruit – Morello cherry, blackcurrant and plum – lifted by violet florals. Savoury complexity follows with notes of dried herbs, cocoa, tobacco, cedar and graphite, opening into subtle vanilla and warm spice with air. The palate is concentrated and powerful yet fresh, supported by fine, mouth-coating tannins. Layers of dark fruit and savoury depth unfold toward a long, persistent, beautifully balanced finish.
Serve at 15-18 Deg.
Drinking beautifully now and will reward in another 10 years.
Pair with beef, lamb, game, rich sauces, aged cheeses.
