Pieter van der Merwe is the founder of Sanniesrust Wines, a boutique label rooted in authenticity, creativity, and drinkability. After refining his craft at Guardian Peak and David Finlayson Wines, Sanniesrust grew from a single-barrel passion project into a distinctive brand known for its innovative yet approachable wines and signature labels.
This Grenache offers fresh wild berry flavours, with notes of raspberry, red cherry, and cranberry layered with delicate savoury nuances and subtle herbal hints. Silky tannins carry through from start to finish, while gentle acidity keeps the wine lifted, refined and beautifully persistent on the palate.
Serve at 16-18 Deg.
Pair with grilled meats like lamb chops with rosemary, Moroccan tagines with dried apricots and cinnamon, or roasted vegetables with smoky paprika.
