The Grenache is sourced from two Piekenierskloof vineyards: an old-vine block planted in 1967 and a younger block planted in 2014.
Wild strawberry, cranberry and earthy notes on the nose, opening to white pepper and lavender. The palate is characterized by a red fruit with chalky tannins and a mineral savoury finish. A wine that is very appealing and utterly charming.
Serve at 14-16 Deg.
Pair with grilled lamb, charcuterie and lightly spiced meats.
Best enjoyed now and within 2-4 years.
