One constant of each vintage is that it will be different from any previous one – the variables of climate guarantee it. Wet, wet, wet is what Harvest 2023 turned out to be! One hundred and ten millimeters of rain in the weeks preceding the pick on 21st February threw up enormous and unprecedented rot challenges which halved the size of the crop in as many weeks. Extreme dedication and ruthless selection at harvest ensured that only the very best fruit was allowed to reach the cellar door. This refusal to compromise on quality and heightened vigilance at every step of the winemaking process has born forth this sublimely delicious wine.
