For the Golden Thread Chenin Blanc, the grapes come from a 1981-planted vineyard in the Polkadraai Hills, on a southwest-facing slope overlooking False Bay and Cape Town. The vineyard has decomposed granite and quartz-rich soils.
This Chenin Blanc exhibits a complex bouquet of apricot, ginger and citrus, with floral undertones and nuances of oak spice. The palate is characterized by a coiled framework, with finely textured tannins and a pronounced saline minerality on the finish.
