This classic red is named after the highway that passes through the beautiful Tradouw Valley. Matured in French oak for 24 months, bottled unfiltered.

The R62 is a delicious blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Franc) combining sweet red and black fruits with fynbos and an undertone of cured meat. Herbal and fresh acidity on the finish. Drink through to 2022.

Enjoy with beef Wellington or slow roasted shoulder of lamb or an earthy porcini risotto.

Springfield The Work of Time × 3

It was our desire to produce a Bordeaux Blend and so we planted the classic varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. These vines were planted on carefully selected sites and took 9 years to reach maturity. The grapes were fermented whole with native yeasts and left for 5 weeks on their skins. The wine was then barrel aged for two years followed by four years of bottle maturation. This wine, rich, classic and complex, truly is a work of time. It will age well for up to 10 years.

39% Cabernet Franc, 34% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot
