Immediately the nose is struck by the primary aromas of raspberry, cherry and candy apple. Secondary flavours of cloves and flint linger as a subtle hint of rose petal finishes off this delicate bouquet. This well-balanced, medium-bodied wine with its flavours of wild berries and a fruity acidity has smooth, well-rounded tannins accompanying the red fruit through the mid-palate. A grande finale of a hint of white pepper and oak leads the way to a long, satisfying finish. This wine is ready for consumption on its own as is, but can be kept for a period of 5 to 10 years, and pairs very well with grilled beef as well as sweeter treats like Turkish delight and milk chocolate.
