Description
The nose of this complex Merlot is lead by primary aromas of fruit such as sweet and sour cherry, blueberries and rose petal. Secondary aromas of tobacco, liquorice spice and fynbos supports the bouquet and deepens the pleasure of putting ones nose into the glass. Smelling this wine is an experience by itself.
A well balanced medium bodied wine. The palate opens up initially with beautiful flavours of cherries and blackberry. The well rounded and fruity tannin structure opens up the mid palate in an explosion of wild berry, blueberry and slight liquorice spice. The fresh acidity and balanced tannins guides the expression of this wine into a long and satisfying finish.
This wine drinks beautifully by itself but accompanies dishes of roast lamb, T-bone steak and mixed vegetables very well.
