Deep, almost black in colour with a youthful purple rim, this Shiraz immediately impresses with its intensity. The nose bursts with ripe blueberries and plums, layered with fragrant violets, white pepper and hints of dark chocolate. Subtle notes of mocha and coconut from French oak add further complexity without overshadowing the vibrant fruit.
The palate is rich and full-bodied, revealing flavours of blueberry, dark chocolate and violets, balanced by gentle peppery spice, fresh acidity and silky, fine-grained tannins. Lush and fruit-driven, yet beautifully structured.
Serve at 16-18 Deg.
Pairs beautifully with pepper-crusted steak and rich mushroom dishes.
This is a generous Swartland Shiraz that drinks superbly now and will continue to develop over the next 5 years.
