Description
The Jan Boland Coetzee pays homage to the founder of Vriesenhof and embodies a lifetime of his observation and wisdom accumulated amongst the vines.
The components are vinified separately, and the blend is assembled after 4 months. Merlot (43%), Cabernet Sauvignon (37%) and Cabernet Franc (20%) all from Stellenbosch, matured in French oak barrels for 20 months. A combination of 1st/2nd /3rd and 4th fill barrels were used.
Delightful intense ruby colour. Aromas of ripe plum, red currants and subtle wood spice and finely textured, smooth tannins.
