The Black Granite name pays tribute to the decomposed granite soils of the Darling region, producing grapes with exceptional concentration, elegance and natural freshness, giving the wine its distinctive balance of richness and finesse. On the nose an inviting bouquet of ripe blackberries, mulberries and juicy plum, intertwined with cracked black pepper, sweet spice and hints of violets. The palate is rich and velvety, revealing layers of dark cherries, blackcurrant and mocha, supported by silky tannins and subtle oak. A long, smooth finish with excellent balance and depth.
Serve at 16-18 Deg.
This full-bodied wine will pair well with darkly braised lamb, seared duck breast, oxtail potjie, venison pie and spicy dishes.
